Our story

It started ten years ago

  1. I am Ahmed Al-Jarai, and my journey began with a simple dream and a great deal of passion. Seventeen years ago I walked into my first private school as a teacher, carrying ambitions that reached well beyond the classroom. Education was never just a job to me; it was a mission I believed in deeply.

  2. As my career progressed I moved from teacher to deputy principal, and then to director of an educational complex. These roles allowed me to work with respected educational companies and to help found several of them. Each step sharpened my expertise and deepened my understanding of what schools genuinely need.

  3. 2013

    I established Qadat Al-Ummah Schools in Riyadh and was involved in every aspect of the project, from the name and the location to the curricula and the teaching team. Today it is recognised among the most successful schools in the country for both enrolment and academic achievement.

  4. 2015

    I obtained a professional licence as an Educational and Pedagogical Consultant, which allowed me to support the private education sector more widely and extend my impact on the quality of learning.

  5. 2019

    I founded Itqan Al-Tarbiyah Schools, which today serves more than 2,500 students and has achieved notable success in delivering high-quality education.

  6. Today

    My team and I at Athar aim to contribute to Saudi Vision 2030 by advancing the private education sector. Our goal is to empower teachers to be inspiring educators who shape students’ character and equip them with the skills of the twenty-first century.
